Looking back at the 50s era, one wonders as to what kind of recipes were there and what were the ingredients that really rocked the world of taste of that time. It was the time when a lot of Mexicans immigrated to America and introduced a lot of different cuisines. Through the time the different recipes have merged with the new ones and have added a lot of style and taste to cooking, which is truly wonderful. Those of us who really want a change that they need to add to their dining, then it is a must to try the recipes from 50s.
Let us take a look on the 50s recipes, which will include the Appetizer, Main Course and the dessert. For the appetizer, you can serve the Sundae-Style Cheese Appetizer. The Main Course would be 50s Meatloaf and Toasted Scallion Mashed Potatoes and the Dessert would be Creamy Center Cupcakes. This can be a very good combination that you can make to serve your guests. This recipe of Meatloaf will serve eight people.
The ingredients that we are going to take for the Meatloaf to spice up your 50s party include 1-1/2 pounds of lean ground pork, 1-1/2 pounds of ground veal, 3 large eggs, 1 cup bread crumbs, 2 cups corns kernels, drained, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1/8 cup steak sauce, Salt and Pepper according to taste. In order to prepare the Meatloaf you need to preheat the oven to about 325 degrees. You need to have all the ingredients at room temperature and then mix them together well. Then you need to form the loaf on the greased and sided baking pan. You need to bake the loaf for about two hours in the oven until it is tender. This recipe is going to rock as it will make you taste the 50s at the present time.
